Tully Rinckey Announces New Equity Partner Class of 11
January 23, 2020 – Albany, N.Y. – On January 2, 2020, the firm promoted 11 existing Partners to Equity Partner status as part of Tully Rinckey PLLC’s strategic plan to change its business model and expand domestically and internationally. This change comes after naming Michael Macomber Chief Executive Officer in the fall of 2019. The is just one of many changes that current CEO Michael Macomber, Founding Partner Mathew Tully and Founding Partner Greg Rinckey have been implementing in line with Mission 2020, the firm’s strategic growth plan. Earlier this year, the firm opened offices in London, England and plans for further expansion in 2020 in new and existing markets. Founded in 2004, the firm currently has 12 offices in three countries.
Attorneys Allen Shoikhetbrod, Anthony Kuhn, Dan Meyer, Darren Swetz, Donna Rucker, Michael Fallings, Michael Freestone, Michael Macomber, Peter Pullano, Sean Timmons and Stephanie Rapp-Tully have been promoted to Equity Partners. The firm’s Founding Partners, Mathew Tully and Greg Rinckey, will remain Equity Partners as part of this change.
The new Equity Partners were selected based on a range of criteria, which includes leadership, performance, diversity, and represents an exciting era for Tully Rinckey’s future business plans. Newly promoted attorneys represent the firm in practice areas that range from corporate immigration, business law, labor and employment law, military law, national security, real estate and criminal defense. By adding Equity Partners, the firm’s business model will encourage and incentivize attorneys to build new and existing practice areas and to drive client service, as well as firm profitability.
“Our new Equity Partners include attorneys who have ran their owner practices successfully before joining Tully Rinckey and have showed extraordinary leadership in their legal field while practicing with the firm,” said Mathew Tully, Founding Partner of the firm. “We would like our Partners to be fully invested into the business strategy of our practice and as part of this change are planning to create several new committees that will affect change and promote leadership, diversity, buy in and inclusion in firm-wide decisions that impact our attorneys and support staff in all locations,” said Mathew Tully.
Since launching its strategic plan in 2016, called “Mission 2020,” Tully Rinckey PLLC has been implementing its plans to dramatically change the business model of the firm. Later this year, the firm plans to focus on establishing its presence in the Middle East to better service its multinational corporate and high net worth clientele. By July 2021, Tully Rinckey plans to have offices open in Asia (Singapore and/or Hong Kong), “so that the sun never sets on the firm.”
