Tully Rinckey Managing Partner Sean C. Timmons spoke at the Fort Bend County Bar Association on Thursday, January 25, 2018. His talk centered on veteran legal issues, specifically the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA). The USERRA protects the job rights and benefits in the civilian workplace for veterans and reservists. The speech was part of a luncheon program held at the Pecan Grove Plantation Country Club in Richmond, Tex.
Timmons background as an active-duty U.S. Army Captain, as well as his service in the selective and prestigious U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps, make him especially qualified to talk about veteran legal issues. He’s passionate about making sure that veterans are treated with dignity and respect, and that their rights to be gainfully employed are preserved.
Timmons’ experience is also a valuable asset to Tully Rinckey PLLC’s military law practice group. Having served his country honorably as a Judge Advocate from 2009 to 2013 at Fort Hood, Tex. – the largest military installation in the world – Timmons is an aggressive and tenacious advocate for all service members facing legal issues. As a civilian military law attorney, he forcefully and efficiently represents service members in both administrative and criminal proceedings.
Timmons originally joined Tully Rinckey’s Albany, N.Y., office as a senior associate, where he was first promoted to partner and eventually managing partner of the firm’s Houston office – its initial footprint in the state of Texas. Timmons’ January 25 talk was the first time a Tully Rinckey attorney has addressed the Fort Bend County Bar Association.
