Firm Continues Support of Veterans and Their Families during the Holiday Season
December 23, 2013 – Albany, N.Y. – Continuing its long-standing tradition of supporting veterans during the holiday season, Tully Rinckey PLLC is pleased to announce that it has provided a ham dinner for family members of hospitalized veterans and visiting veterans at the Samuel S. Stratton Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center’s Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher House in Albany.
The firm today delivered to the Fisher House the dinner, which includes spiral sliced hickory smoked honey hams, sweet potatoes, garden salad, as well as apple, pumpkin, and blueberry pies. The VA expects the care package to feed all Fisher House occupants this holiday. The Fisher House is a “home-away-from-home” for hospitalized veterans’ family members, veterans visiting hospitalized family members, and veterans undergoing extended periods of outpatient therapy.
Tully Rinckey PLLC’s ham dinner donation comes a month after the law firm held its fifth annual Turkeys for Veterans campaign, in which it, in partnership with Hannaford Supermarkets, gave away over 200 turkeys to Capital Region service members, veterans, and their families. Since December 2010, Tully Rinckey PLLC, either by itself or in partnership with Dickies or Carhartt, has given free winter coats to homeless veterans at “The Vet House” of the Albany Housing Coalition or Veterans Community Service Center in Albany.
“Giving is a cherished tradition of the holiday season. In addition to giving this ham dinner, I want to give the veterans and their family members at the Fisher House many thanks and best wishes on behalf of everyone at Tully Rinckey PLLC,” said Greg T. Rinckey, the firm’s managing partner.
