ALBANY, NY (Spectrum News 1) — The person allegedly behind the mid-week nightmare at a Georgia school cannot face the death penalty. That decision was made by a judge as the suspect appeared in court due to his age.
Colt Gray, 14, is charged with four counts of murder.
Two students and two teachers were killed and many more injured after Gray allegedly opened fire inside the Apalachee High School on Wednesday.
His father, Colin Gray, also appeared in court after being charged with involuntary manslaughter, murder and cruelty to children. He is accused of buying his son the AR-15-style rifle used in the shooting.
