Is Now the Time to Divide Your Assets?
Equitable Distribution Amid COVID-19
WHEN: Thursday, April 30th at 12:30 PM
In this week’s webinar, we will cover the process of equitable distribution or division of property as it pertains to divorce proceedings and new realities to be aware of amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Typically, equitable distribution is the evaluation and division of assets in a divorce. Now, given the current economic instability, the review of assets, as well as the entire process of equitable distribution, are being significantly impacted and unprecedented. For those who began the divorce process when things were “normal,” the valuation of your assets may look quite different right now.
Health and economic concerns have only added new challenges to the already stressful process of divorce. Join us this Thursday to be better prepared in navigating your divorce and the equitable distribution process in the current climate.
Topics include:
• Retirement accounts and decrease in value due to COVID -19
• Transferring Real Estate and equitable distribution of equity during COVID-19
• Responsibility to pay marital debt in a Judgement of Divorce and loss of income
• Refinancing marital debt based on Judgement of Divorce and loss of income
• Exchange of assets pursuant to Judgement of Divorce
• Does Covid-19 give you a basis to modify Settlement agreements and Judgement of Divorce?
Each first time attendee will be eligible for a discounted consultation with one our Family Matrimonial Attorneys. Attendees who have already had discounted a consultation are not eligible for another one.
