Starting January 1, 2025, the base compensation for all first-year Attorneys has been increased to $110,000 per year, and higher starting base compensation for experienced attorneys with higher compensation being offered to Attorneys with experience and/or portable books. In addition, the firm will offer no-cost health insurance for basic plans, free dental and vision coverage, and a 6% matching contribution for 401(k) plans at 100%. After eighteen (18) months of full-time employment, attorneys will earn over six (6) weeks of paid time off. Job Description Overview:
Compensation: $125,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year
As Managing Partner, you will oversee large-scale business development efforts to include procurement of clients that will result in profitable long-term relationships for the firm. Also required is the ability and drive to maintain a practice. As Managing Partner of the firm’s Austin, TX office, this position will be responsible for planning and growth of the Austin office in line with the firm’s strategic vision. The Managing Partner will be responsible for day-to-day management of attorneys, adherence to firm policies and procedures in that location and will report directly to the firm’s Chief Executive Officer. Managing Partners will also receive a reduction in Qualified Billable Hour Requirements for their management duties. Other duties will include:
· Drafting of legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings.
· Attending court conferences and arbitrations.
· Handling discovery-related activities and investigations.
· Ability to handle complex legal issues with creativity and sound judgment.
· Mentor junior attorneys and support staff, providing guidance and training as needed
· Weekly huddles with attorneys in Austin, TX office
· Develop the office vision for 2025 and beyond
· Monthly Management Reporting for Executive Team
Candidates must be admitted to practice law in the State of Texas, licensed and in good standing.
