Dan is a Senior Counsel with Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Austin, Texas office where he focuses his practice on all aspects of military law and veteran services.
Dan, a U.S. military veteran himself, has experience with appellate decisions, reviewing complex legal and medical cases, and representing clients who need assistance obtaining their VA benefits. Prior to joining Tully Rinckey, Dan worked as a Veterans Law Attorney for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Prior to that role, he also served in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, where he focused his practice on healthcare law, general administrative law, labor and ethics law. Near the end of his term, he served as the Deputy General Counsel for the U.S. Army Installation Management Command and held a responsibility for the operation of over 75 Army Installations worldwide, and managed the day-to-day operations of an office with a staff of 18 employees. He retired in 2021, after more than 24 years of service.
Dan also brings experience in litigation, mediation, and national security law.
Dan received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Minnesota School of Law. He is well traveled, having lived in several different countries, and can speak Spanish at a full professional capacity.
