Recent stay-at-home and social distancing orders are making it even more difficult for persons of domestic violence to seek help. As courts continue to operate at limited capacity to stop the spread of COVID-19, the needs and safety of said persons must be considered. Many courthouses have moved to virtual and phone appearances for court hearings, remaining open for priority cases, including emergency protection orders.
