This week’s topic will be Article 81 Guardianships for disabled adults and Supplemental Needs Trusts. Both are vehicles to assist disabled children and adults and best provide for their needs while protecting their certification for various state and federal benefits.
Article 81 guardianships and Special Needs Trusts are usually created on behalf of adults who are unable to care for themselves and meant to provide the incapacitated person with assistance without completely removing the incapacitated person’s independence.
This webinar will cover the following topics:

• What are the responsibilities of being a guardian?
• What steps are needed to file for guardianship?
• Why should you establish a supplemental needs trust?
• What types of supplemental needs trusts are available?
