COLONIE – A Capital Region law firm has entered the fray surrounding the impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump.
And it is all because of a purported effort on the GoFundMe website to raise money for the whistleblower at the heart of the matter.
Anthony Gallo, managing partner of the Colonie-based firm of Tully Rinckey, has asked the inspector general of the U.S. intelligence community to investigate the fundraising effort, calling it a possible violation of law.
“It’s really not about politics,” Gallo told the Times Union. “It’s about ensuring equal protection of laws across the board, that federal ethical regulations are followed in non-partisan fashion across the board.”
