TRBN Workshop: Protecting your Business’s Ideas, Innovations, and Other Intellectual Property Tickets
What differentiates your business from the competition? Is it a secret family recipe? Software you coded? An innovative way to make your product? Or, simply, your company’s name and reputation? Each of these items and your business’ other ideas and innovations may be protectable intellectual property – namely, patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. Developing a comprehensive strategy for your company’s intellectual property is vital to maintaining your competitive advantage and, often, leveraging that advantage to increase your business’ revenue through licensing and other partnerships.
On March 21, 2019, Daniel Kane, Director and Lead Counsel of the TR Business Navigator, will walk participants through (1) the different forms of intellectual property, how to get protection, and how businesses can leverage their intellectual property in licensing, buyouts, and other negotiations. From this workshop, participants should walk away with a better understanding of intellectual property and a basic strategy for their startup or existing business.
