Tully Rinckey PLLC is pleased to announce that Partner Barbara King has been recognized by YWCA NorthEastern NY with a 2019 Women of Achievement Award. The Women of Achievement Awards honor women who exemplify a spirit of excellence in their community, in their work and in their lives. In regards to the 2019 induction of winners The YWCA NENY stated, “Membership in this inspirational group of leaders is both an honor and a privilege.”
Barbara King is proud to accept the honorary 2019 Women of Achievement Law Award from the YWCA NENY. She looks forward to joining the nine other exceptional women who will be honored during a luncheon presented by YWCA NENY and Druthers Brewing Company.
“As a member of Tully Rinckey PLLC and the Capital Region community I take very seriously my role not only as an attorney but as a citizen dedicated to helping others. It has been and continues to be a great passion of mine to give back to women who happen to find themselves in unfortunate circumstances whether it be domestic violence or other situations. I humbly accept this award and want to thank the YWCA NENY for the important work they do year round serving women and families in our area,” said King.
As a Partner at Tully Rinckey PLLC, King focuses her practice on Family and Matrimonial Law. For more than two decades she has been representing parents, spouses and other parties from Long Island to the Capital Region, as well as clients nationally and internationally. King graduated Valedictorian of her class at John Jay University. She earned her juris doctorate from the City University of New York at Queens College. King has a well-established connection and commitment to the Capital Region through various professional and not-for-profit organizations, as well as volunteer work. She is a member of the Capital District Women’s Bar Association and is involved in various legal organizations, including The Legal Project and the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York, where she informs litigants of their rights in family court and offers pro-bono representation. Barbara also works with domestic violence initiatives, assists Legal Project clinics and offers her services in pro se matrimonial clinics for indigent people all at no charge.
