The Colonie-based law firm of Tully Rinckey announced Monday it has acquired a Rochester law firm.
Tully Rinckey acquired Harris, Chesworth, Johnstone & Welch, a general practice firm whose attorneys practice in the legal areas of general business, municipal liability, family and matrimonial, trusts and estates, federal and state tax, real estate, litigation and insurance defense, according to a news release from Tully Rinckey.
The partners of the newly acquired firm — Donald Chesworth, Jeffrey Johnstone and Eugene Welch — joined Tully Rinckey’s Rochester office at 400 Linden Oaks on Monday. They will join three attorneys, three “of counsel” and four support staff members there.
“The acquisition of Harris, Chesworth, Johnstone & Welch, LLP, which has deep roots in the Rochester market, will enable us to further represent our valued clients in a broader range of legal matters,” Mathew B. Tully, Tully Rinckey founding partner, said in a statement.
