Roof collapse has Watervliet renter going to court

As Featured On:

WATERVLIET, NY (WNYT) — The tenant of a Watervliet apartment is still dealing with the aftermath of a nasty roof collapse from over the summer.

Brandon Gayzur first contacted 13Investigates shortly after this nightmare happened to him.

The ceiling collapse created a dangerous situation. The management company wanted to make sure nobody got hurt, and Gayzur no longer had full access to his apartment. He learned the locks were changed on his unit. No one is allowed to get in without being escorted.

So, what legal rights does he have now when it comes to access to his apartment, the things inside and paying rent?
