Fiscal Year 2023 National Defense Authorization Act Updates

Overview:

Senior Associate Chad H. Lennon, Esq. will be presenting a free continuing legal education (CLE) seminar; “Fiscal Year 2023 National Defense Authorization Act Updates” on Monday, June 26, 2023.

The Fiscal Year 2023 National Defense Authorization Act Updates  (FY23 NDAA) authorizes appropriations for military activities within the Department of Defense. This includes changes to military law and military justice. Some of these changes will have an impact on the cases an attorney may be handling for those who are involved in the Department of Defense.

Attorneys will receive one (1) credit hour in Areas of Professional Practice upon completing this course. Newly admitted attorneys may attend and receive credit for this CLE. Tully Rinckey PLLC is an approved Accredited Provider through the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board.

To participate, please register using the form on this page. Upon registering, you will receive a link and instructions on how to access the CLE.  A timed agenda, supplemental course materials, an attorney affirmation and a course evaluation will be circulated on the day of the CLE.

After the CLE, please fill out and return the completed attorney affirmation and course evaluation to cle@tullylegal.com. Upon receipt, we will provide a certificate of CLE completion.

Overview:

Chad Lennon is an attorney in the Military Law section at Tully Rinckey, PLLC. In addition he is a Major in the Marine Corps reserves. Prior to joining Tully Rinckey, PLLC, he was the Director of the Veterans and Servicemembers’ Rights’ Clinic at Touro Law Center. There he managed staff attorneys and interns working in a variety of legal topics. Cases included discharge upgrades, veterans law appeals, military law, landlord-tenant, estate planning, and criminal cases.  He was also a Prosecutor in Suffolk County District Court and East End courts.
