NEW YORK, N.Y. – Tully Rinckey PLLC is pleased to announce that Michael Liptrot has joined the firm’s Manhattan office as senior counsel, where he will focus his practice on family & matrimonial law.
For close to a decade, Michael has practiced family law across New York City, including the five boroughs, the lower Hudson Valley area, and New Jersey. Throughout his time practicing, Michael has gained a vast amount of experience in family and matrimonial law, with specific experience in divorce, custody, child support, family offense, neglect/abuse, guardianship, and SIJS (Special Immigrant Juvenile Status) matters. He is also a certified divorce mediator.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael volunteered for the New York Court Access to Justice Program, which offered counseling to low-income individuals in landlord/tenant matters in Bronx Housing Court. He also served as an article editor for the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association.
Michael served on the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Animals and the Law from 2014-2017 and completed a judicial internship for Hon. Mark C. Dillon, Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department, in 2011.
He earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and his bachelor’s degree from American University.
