Peter Faherty is a law clerk with employment law department of Tully Rinckey PLLC.
He is a part of a team of attorneys, paralegals and fellow law clerks who review clients’ military records. They work to restore improperly charged leave to military personnel under Butterbaugh v. Department of Justice.
Prior to joining Tully Rinckey, Peter held positions with both the New York State Senate and the Assembly. He also worked for the Queens County District Attorney’s Office in the Organized Crime and Racketeering Division. During his time there, he listened to wire taps and compiled vehicle information to be used in investigations and prosecutions.
Originally from Bayside, NY in Queens, he moved upstate for school. Peter is currently a candidate for his juris doctorate at Albany Law School and holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University at Albany. He minored in philosophy.
Peter serves as the Executive President of the Student Bar Association at Albany Law School, in which he oversees the budget for student activities. He is also a member of the Albany Government Law Review and is currently completing an article on the Butterbaugh decision.
Peter has played rugby throughout his college career and was a member of the State Champion University at Albany team in 2006. He continues to play with the Albany Law School team. In addition to playing rugby, Peter shows his enthusiasm for sports through his love of the New York Yankees.
