Michelle Butler is a
Paralegal to the Managing Partner, Greg T. Rinckey.
Michelle received her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from Schenectady County Community College in May 2007. While attending SCCC she was a peer tutor providing support to students who required assistance in their academic studies. Additionally, she was the fundraising coordinator for the Business and Law Club. As a result of her fundraising efforts, the club was able to start an annual scholarship fund.
Prior to working for Tully Rinckey, Michelle interned in Assembly Member Peter Rivera’s office, who was the chair of the New York State Assembly’s Puerto Rican and Hispanic Task Force. In addition to providing office support, Michelle played a vital role in assisting in coordination of the 20th Annual Somos El Futuro Legislative Conference.
Additionally, while Michelle’s husband was stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey, she worked for the Burlington County Community Action Program where she assisted low income families and single mothers in securing gainful employment and finding affordable child care.
Further, she worked for a mid-sized law firm in Hartford, Connecticut in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability and worker’s compensation.
Michelle brings to the firm an extensive knowledge of the legal system and substantive and procedural law. Additionally, she brings a diverse background in customer service and management.
Michelle is a member of the Parent Teacher’s Association and an associate member of the American Bar Association. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, traveling, and baking. |
