In the area of Military Law, Kiley has handled cases that involve violations of the
Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA),
security clearance issues, and
AWOL and desertion. He is an advocate for our nation’s veterans, and has recovered hundreds of days of annual leave that were wrongfully taken from military men and women. Kiley has successfully fought against employers who have discriminated against veterans by leaving them without a job or passing them over for a promotion when they return from active duty.
Kiley has a solid amount of experience beyond military law issues. In dealing with civil litigation issues he has taken on cases of police brutality and defended tenants who were at the mercy of an unscrupulous landlord. His experience in criminal law extends from DWI charges to misdemeanors and felonies.
Kiley has an A.A.S in Criminal Justice and a B.A. in Political Science from Niagara University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then went on to serve as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. In his four years of active duty he was stationed in Georgia, California and Okinawa, Japan. He has also served as a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force Reserves. He was stationed at Niagara Falls Air Reserve Base for his six-year tenure. He received his law degree from Albany Law School of Union University and previously worked for the law firm of Solomon and Solomon.
Kiley is a member of the Albany County, American, and New York State Bar Associations as well as the New York State Defenders Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
