Her prior experience includes working as a payroll specialist for a Capital Region accounting firm and office management. She also serves as an adjunct mathematics professor at Schenectady County Community College. 

While raising her four sons, Ann developed an interest in cake and confectionary design and has taught cake decoration for several years. Outside of the office, she also enjoys baking and oil painting.
