Artan has been involved with Immigration Law since the first day he entered United States as a refugee from Albania in 1990, starting with his own petitions for his green card, social security card, traveling documents and eventually, his citizenship in 1997. In that same year he received his degree from Binghamton University, graduating cum laude. Three years later in 2000, he graduated from the Syracuse University College of Law.
Artan petitioned and secured his own political asylum in 1989, which granted him the right to enter the United States as a permanent resident. He has first-hand personal experience about the grueling process of filing immigration petitions, waiting time frames and cultural and language barriers. His immigration practice includes but is not limited to Petitions for Asylum, Alien Relative, Fiancée, Adoption, Labor (PERM), Student and Business Visas and immigration rules concerning Military personnel.
Artan is a member of the New York State Bar Association and with his addition to the firm, Tully Rinckey PLLC will be expanding into immigration law.
