Sunderlin Appointed to the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York Board of Directors

January 26, 2009 – Albany, NY – Tully Rinckey PLLC, a full-service law firm in the Capital Region, is pleased to announce that Jennifer R. Sunderlin, Esq. has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York.

Sunderlin is one of three new appointees welcomed to the Board for 2009. Her role will be to further the Girl Scouts’ mission of building the courage, confidence, and character of girl scouts throughout the council.

“I’m a former Girl Scout and I remember what a wonderful experience it was for me as a child,” said Sunderlin. “I hope to use my legal background to help girls within our council address issues they may be facing and ultimately serve as a role model to them.”

Sunderlin is an associate attorney at Tully Rinckey PLLC, where she concentrates her practice in family and matrimonial law and special education law. In addition to her work in private practice, she participates in the Modest Means panel pro-bono legal program, which offers reduced legal services to low-income litigants with family law cases in Schenectady, NY. She also volunteers at pro bono legal clinics through the Legal Project and is an active member of the New York State Bar Association.

Girl Scouts is the preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls, which allows them to develop leadership skills for success in the real world. The Northeastern New York chapter serves over 14,500 girls in Albany, Clinton, Columbia, Greene, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Montgomery, Hamilton, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren and Washington Counties and a portion of St. Lawrence County.
